About Bolton- Churchill- Elliott- Vermillion Basic Building Blocks of a Maternal Linage
Please sign in to see more.
My name is Richard Churchill LeRoy and I have been researching my maternal line (Churchill) since 1980. I have included with my direct descent, collateral lines that may be of use to others who are searching for their own ancestry.

The first known Churchill from whom I descend, was John Churchill of Plymouth Colony who married Hannah Pontus 18 December 1644. How and why John Churchill arrived from England has been speculative for the past 250 years. To date there has been no discovery of his ancestors, shire of origin, or reasons for having been either a “Saint or Stranger” in the new world colony of Plymouth. Perhaps in the distant future some old musty archives will reveal John’s true identity and purpose for coming to North America.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
